General Data we collect:

Customer Details including Full Name, Address, Email, Phone, DOB. In the case of under-16s, required Data is collected as provided by consenting adult, under-16s Data is treated as part of the adult record, not separately and is subject to all stated criteria.

Sensitive Data we collect – only applicable to Ear-Piercing Services, Glitter Garden Consent & at times, Party Bookings:

Copy of photographic ID to confirm age.

Health details including allergies, medical conditions, medication.

How we collect your Data:

We collect your Data via several means:

Online when you initiate purchases through our Website, note, should you purchase via eBay we do not automatically add your data to our system
Discount Vouchers & Offers (written or electronic)
Verbally at the Till Point when completing transactions, including, sales, returns/exchanges, gift voucher sales or redemption
Consent Forms for Ear-Piercing Services & Glitter Garden
Caflon Ear-Piercing Record Book
Party Booking Forms

How we store your Data:

Electronic data is stored securely on our password secured cloud Till System, where permission has been granted by you, this integrates with our email marketing system. No third parties have access to this data.

Written personal data such as Consent Forms etc are stored in a secure cabinet.

How we use your Data:

We use your data in our digital Marketing. If you opt-in to Marketing we may email you from time to time. You can unsubscribe using the appropriate link at any time.

We use your data for our secure records of Piercing Services, Glitter Garden Services and with regard to Returns & Exchanges in line with our Return and Exchange Policy.

If you are a Piercing client your data is used to enrol you onto our VIP scheme, you can be a member of the scheme without agreeing to additional marketing, however you cannot opt out of us keeping your basic general information on file.

With regard to data stored in relation to piercing or glitter applications we will only share this if required to do so by law or compelled by our Insurance Company.

How long we will store your Data:

General Customer records saved in electronic till system our are retained indefinitely unless you ask us to remove your data, or should the business cease to trade, in this case all information would be destroyed.

Piercing - Joli Boutique will securely store your personal data for 3 years from the date of the Consent form, thereafter it will be destroyed. Your personal information will not be shared with any third parties unless strictly required by law or by our Insurance Provider. 

Glitter - Joli Boutique will store all forms securely for 30 Days after Glitter application date, thereafter it will be destroyed.

Discount Vouchers – once permissible data has been transferred to the electronic customer database the paper-based record is destroyed (within 1 week of receipt).

Who has access to your Data:

The Company Director controls your Data, all members of staff are trained how to process your Data and can access limited information on the Till System in order to process transactions and dispatch goods by courier.

No third party has access to any Data we store.

Removing your Data:

Should you wish for us to remove Data we hold please request us to do so, preferably in writing. Be aware, we are required to keep Ear-Piercing records for 3 years from date of service.
